When it comes to mixing, there are endless possibilities. At Beehive Studios we can take your music and use our experience and high-end analogue equipment to get the very best possible mix for our clients. With the huge explosion of home recording it meant that many musicians try to do as much as they can themselves, but often end up disappointed with the end result because they simply don’t have the professional tools, monitor speakers, balanced acoustics or experiences you need to get that high end quality finished product. With over 40 years of experience in recording and mixing music Beehive Studios is the place to take your recordings to another level balancing, polishing and bringing punch to your tracks so that the highest level can be achieved.

We also offer an editing service such as vocal tuning, vocal editing. Drum tightening and replacement. Guitar re-amping.

Here is what to do next:

Please make sure you send only wav files, not MP3 files (as they are lower quality)

When bouncing your audio, please make sure they ALL start from the very beginning, even if there is only one word or sound a couple of minutes in - that way, when I import the audio, all parts come in at the right time!!

Please set all faders to 0db and make sure there is no clipping before bouncing.

Make sure any effects and processing you may have is bypassed or removed so I only get the raw audio that's been recorded (unless it is deliberately there for effect). Similarly, please make sure your master buss is clear of all processing.

Please try to make sure all files are labelled appropriately (e.g. Kick drum, Snare Top, Snare Bottom...)

Please send all stems at the sample rate/bit rate it's been recorded at (e.g. 24-bit, 44.1kHz).

Although it is not necessary, feel free to send a rough mix and/or reference tracks to give an idea of how you want your song to sound.

Please compress/zip a single folder (per song) with all stems to be mixed.

When you have done this, drop an email to olly@beehivestudios.co.uk to book your mixing in and we will send you a booking form with the details of what to do next. Following these steps can potentially help save time
